American Technical Publishers - Plats of Dedication
History
The plat of dedication for 102nd Avenue and 183rd Place is prepared/presented by Sen. Patrick O’Malley to dedicate right of way within his property on the north side of Orland Parkway, surrounding the new American Technical Publishers property. The dedications provide the right of way to serve future developments as they propose to develop the Orland Parkway I 80 Corridor. One plat actually re-dedicates a wider 70’ right of way (previously 60’) for 102nd Avenue, plus a new 80’ right of way for 183rd Place along the north property line of American Technical publishers. Utility and roadway improvements are proposed for 102nd Avenue only- via the American Technical Publishers project. The 183rd Place right of way utility and roadway improvements will be constructed by future property purchasers. Most importantly, the dedication 183rd Place right of way provides a means for the future Three Bridges subdivision to route its sanitary sewer system to Orland Parkway.
The plat of vacation in the Horton subdivision is presented to clean up & remove a small segment of easement. The portion that is removed is unnecessary because the easement is soon to be extended due east. This easement is for a sanitary sewer that the future Three Bridges subdivision will eventually tie onto. A plat of easement which extends this existing easement northerly to the Three Bridges parcel is forthcoming to the Village Board in the near future.
Staff has reviewed the Plat of Dedication and Plat of Vacation and find them to be substantially in conformance.
This is now before the Village Board for consideration and to authorize signature of the plats.

I move to approve the Plat of Dedication for Public Streets (102nd Avenue & 183rd Place) prepared by Burke Engineering, 05-160, dated 09-27-07.
And
I move to approve the Plat of Vacation of Part of A Sanitary Sewer Easement, prepared by Burke Engineering, 05-160, dated 09-24-07.
