AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY (ALDI - 11200 W. 179TH STREET)

 

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois:

 

SECTION 1

 

That this President and Board of Trustees find as follows:

 

(a)  A Petition has been filed with the Village Clerk and presented in proper form to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, requesting that the territory described in Section 2 of this Ordinance be annexed to the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois.

 

(b)  Such Petition was signed by all of the owners of record of such territory, there being no electors residing on said territory.

 

(c)  Such territory is not within the corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, a municipality existing under the laws of the State of Illinois.

 

(d)  That the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, does not provide fire protection service, and the territory herein described is not located in a public library district.

 

(e)  Any required Notice of the proposed annexation has been given to the Orland Township, Cook County, Commissioner of Highways.

 

SECTION 2

 

That the territory legally described as follows:

THE WEST 160.0 FEET OF THE EAST 943.0 FEET OF THE SOUTH 334.05 FEET OF THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PARCEL OF LAND, ALL TAKEN AS A TRACT: THE SOUTH 1/2 (EXCEPT RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY) OF THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED TRACT: THE NORTHEAST 1/4 AND THE EAST 50.97 ACRES OF THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 31, TOWNSHIP 36 NORTH, RANGE 12 (EXCEPT THE WEST 100 ACRES), ALSO (EXCEPT THE NORTH 17 FEET OF THE SOUTH 50 FEET OF THE WEST 160 FEET OF THE EAST 943 FEET OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER AS DEEDED TO THE COUNTY OF COOK BY DEED RECORDED SEPTEMBER 21, 1998 AS DOCUMENT 98840060) OF SECTION 31, TOWNSHIP 36 NORTH, RANGE 12 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

BEGINNING AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE NORTHERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF 66 FOOT 179TH STREET AND THE WESTERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF 110 FOOT WOLF ROAD; THENCE WEST ALONG SAID NORTHERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE 246 FEET; THENCE NORTH ALONG A LINE PARALLEL WITH SAID WESTERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH A LINE 17 FEET NORTH OF AND PARALLEL WITH SAID NORTHERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE; THENCE EAST ALONG SAID PARALLEL LINE 226 FEET; THENCE NORTHEASTERLY TO A POINT ON SAID WESTERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE THAT IS 37 FEET NORTH OF THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE SOUTH ALONG SAID WESTERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE 37 FEET TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, all in con-formance with and as shown on a plat and map of annex-ation of said territory prepared by a registered land surveyor of the State of Illinois, attached hereto and made a part hereof as EXHIBIT A.

 

SECTION 3

 

That the Village Clerk is hereby and herewith instructed to record with the Recording Division of the Cook County Clerk’s office, and to file with the County Clerk of Cook County, Illinois:

 

(a)  a copy of this Ordinance certified as correct by the Clerk of said Village of Orland Park; and

 

(b)  a plat of the land included in this annexation, as required by law, said plat to be attached to the afore-said certified copy of this Ordinance.

 

SECTION 4

 

That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption as required by law.
