Recreation and Parks Brochure Printing
History
On October 22, 2008, proposals were submitted and reviewed by staff for the printing of three seasonal Recreation and Parks Department program brochures. Three proposals were received with the lowest qualifying bid from Des Plaines Printing, LLC of Des Plaines, IL.
The figures proposed are per edition based on three seasonal brochures per year, 72 pages per brochure with 4 page color insert for 32,000 copies per brochure season. The proposal included an option to renew the contract for two additional years under the discretion of the Village based on product and service.
Des Plaines Printing currently holds the brochure printing contract and staff has been pleased with the work and service they provide. Staff recommends accepting the proposal from them for the 2009 brochure series and renew the contract based on yearly performance for two additional years.
The Recreation Committee voted unanimously to recommend approval.

Financial Impact
The FY 2009 budget for brochure printing is $65,000.00.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve accepting the proposal for the 2009 program brochure series printing from Des Plaines Printing, LLC of Des Plaines, IL in an amount not to exceed $65,000.00;
And
Approve renewing the contract based on yearly performance for two additional years at a cost not to exceed the budgeted amount.
