IBM Server Maintenance - Expenditure Approval
History
The MIS Division has included $11,000 in the FY 2012 budget for maintenance and support of the IBM servers. Maintenance includes 24x7 on-site maintenance and repair for three mission critical application servers with 4 hour response time, and 9x5 next business day for four non-critical application servers.
On September 4, 2012, this item was reviewed and approved by the Technology, Communication & Community Engagement Committee and referred to the Board for approval.
Financial Impact
The FY2012 budget includes $11,000 for IBM server maintenance. Maintenance for these seven servers will cost an additional $5,980. So far, $4,624 has been expended this year. This completes the IBM server maintenance purchases for FY 2012, leaving us $396 under budget.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve the IBM server maintenance expenditure in an amount not to exceed $5,980.
