CITGO Station - Demolition Quote Award

History

Quotes were taken for the demolition of the CITGO station on 143^rd and LaGrange Road. They were sent to three companies; Environmental Protection Industries (South Holland, IL), Corner Stone Demolition (McHenry IL), Bechstein Construction Corp. (Tinley Park, IL) they are as follows;

Environmental Protection Industries                                          $32,343.00

Corner Stone Demolition                                                                           $38,850.00

Bechstein Construction Corp.                                                                     $18,400.00

Bechstein has demo may properties for us in the past (all buildings in the Metra Triangle, the two homes on Westwood Drive) and have done a great job.

Financial Impact

Funds for this project will be funded by the Village, to be reimbursed by the buyer of said property.

Recommended Action/Motion

I move to approve waiving the bid process;

And

Approve accepting the proposal from Bechstein Construction Corporation of Tinley Park, for the demolition of the CITGO station on 143^rd and LaGrange Road. The cost will not exceed $18,400.00;

And

Approve to authorize the Village Manager to execute the contract.
