A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE SOUTH SUBURBAN MAYORS AND MANAGERS ASSOCIATION TO PROVIDE THE SSMMA WITH CERTAIN DIGITAL MAP INFORMATION CONCERNING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE VILLAGE, PROPERTY THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF THE SSMMA'S WORK FOR THE VILLAGE.

WHEREAS, The Village of Orland Park (the “Village”), pursuant to Illinois State
Statue, is granted all powers necessary to carry out its legislative purposes; and
WHEREAS, the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association has a geographic information system (“GIS”) database that it is willing to update from the Village zoning database at no cost; and
WHEREAS, GIS data sharing with the Village will allow the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association to access GIS data from the Village; and
WHEREAS, cooperation between and among governmental agencies and entities through intergovernmental agreements is authorized and encouraged by Article VII, Section 10 of the Illinois Constitution of 1970 and by the “Intergovernmental Cooperation Act” (5 ILCS 220/1 et seq.); and
WHEREAS, the Village and the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association have negotiated an Intergovernmental Agreement in substantially the form attached to this Resolution as Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village of Orland Park as follows:
The Village President and Board of Trustees and the General Counsel are authorized to finalize and Intergovernmental Agreement between the Village of Orland Park and the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association in substantially the form of the agreement attached to this Resolution, and the Village President and Board of Trustees are authorized to execute said Intergovernmental Agreement.
