AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 9, CHAPTER 9, OF THE ORLAND PARK VILLAGE CODE BY AMENDING PARKING REGULATIONS FOR THE MAIN STREET TRIANGLE
BODY
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park (the “Village”) have the authority to adopt ordinances and promulgate rules and regulations that pertain to its government and affairs and to protect the public health, safety and welfare of its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the area commonly known as the “Main Street Triangle” as defined in Section 9-9-16 of the Village Code is being developed with streets, roadways and parking areas; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to add certain parking restrictions to Section 9-9-16 of the Village Code as hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1
The above recitals are incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2
Section 9-9-16 of the Village Code of the Village of Orland Park is hereby amended to add a new Paragraph (1) of Subsection 5, “No Parking Zones” to provide as follows:
“(1) On Village property north of 142nd Street between Jefferson Avenue and LaGrange Road (U.S. Route 45).”
SECTION 3
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
