RESOLUTION APPROVING AN EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT FOR AND RATIFYING THE APPOINTMENT OF JOSEPH S. LA MARGO AS VILLAGE MANAGER OF THE VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK, ILLINOIS

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois (the “Village”), desire to appoint Joseph S. La Margo as the Village Manager of the Village of Orland Park, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Employment Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit “A”; and
WHEREAS, Joseph S. La Margo desires to work as the Village Manager of the Village of Orland Park, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Employment Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit “A”; and
WHEREAS, Joseph S. La Margo meets the criteria for a Village Manager set forth in the Village’s Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1
The foregoing recitals are incorporated by reference into Section 1 of this Resolution as material terms of the Resolution.
SECTION 2
The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park appoint Joseph S. La Margo as Village Manager of the Village of Orland Park effective immediately upon the adoption and approval of this Resolution. The compensation and terms of service of the Village Manager shall be in accordance with the Employment Agreement signed by Joseph S. La Margo, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and made a part hereof.
SECTION 3
The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park approve of the Employment Agreement for Joseph S. La Margo attached hereto as Exhibit “A”, and the President and Clerk of the Village of Orland Park (or their designees) are authorized and directed to execute and deliver said Agreement and such other instruments, as may be necessary or convenient for the Village to fulfill its obligations under the Agreement.
