2016 Taste Entertainment - 7th Heaven

History

7^th Heaven is a popular local group that was a big draw for the 2015 Taste of Orland Park.  They performed as the headline act on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 8:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.  We estimate the 2015 Saturday crowd to be around 20,000 attendees, based upon daily attendance numbers. 

We would like to build on the success of 2015 to potentially increase attendance and have 7^th Heaven return in 2016.  Staff recommend hiring the group to perform as the Saturday headline act for the 2016 Taste of Orland Park on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 8:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.  The cost of the performance will be $500 deposit to Bass-Schuler and a balance of $4,500 to be paid to 7^th Heaven.

On February 15, 2016, this item was reviewed and approved by the Parks and Recreation Committee, recommended for approval and referred to the Village Board of Trustees for consideration.

Financial Impact

Account 010-9400-490220 has been budgeted for Taste of Orland Park entertainment.

Recommended Action/Motion

I move to approve the contract for the group, 7th Heaven, in the amount of $5,000.00 to provide entertainment at the Taste of Orland Park on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 8:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.;

And

Approve a deposit payment in the amount of $500.00 to be paid to Bass-Schuler upon approval of contract and the balance to be paid at the Taste of Orland Park 2016 to the band, 7th Heaven.
