Clock Tower Extra Work Quote

History

Robert Juris & Associates Architects, Ltd. is to provide structural engineering services for re-anchoring the metal trellis back to the existing clock tower. The original Perkins and Will drawings did not have any details on how it was anchored and the method wasn’t known until demolition of the face brick began last week.  Staff recommends that we have the structural engineer review the existing detail, evaluate and recommend the re-use of the detail; or recommend a new detail (more likely), at a cost of $1600.00.

On November 7, 2011, this item was reviewed and approved by the Recreation & Parks Committee and referred to the Board for approval.

Financial Impact

The funds will come from the Building Maintenance budget 010-2100-424.4310 funds remaining from other projects (HVAC) under budget.

Recommended Action/Motion

I move to approve accepting the quote from Robert Juris & Associates Architects, Ltd. and amend the existing agreement to include for extra work at a cost of $1,600.00.
