ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF MUNICIPAL PROPERTY TO ORLAND PARK FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, ILLINOIS (1996 FORD CLUBWAGON VAN)

WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois (the “Village”) is an Illinois home rule municipality; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village has determined that the Village’s old 1996 Ford Clubwagon Van is no longer necessary or useful to the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities have determined to donate the said vehicle to Orland Fire Protection District, Illinois, for its practicing purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the President and Board of Trustees, Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, in the exercise of the Village’s home rule powers, as follows:
SECTION 1
The above preambles are hereby incorporated into this Section as fully as if restated in their entirety herein.
SECTION 2
The donation to Orland Fire Protection District, Illinois, of the following vehicle which is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Orland Park is hereby approved: One (1) 1996 Ford Clubwagon Van, VIN #1FBJS31H9THA00609, having approximately 70,000 of mileage.
SECTION 3
This donation is to be “as is” without warranties of any kind, expressed or implied, about the performance ability of the van, its present state of repair, condition or maintenance, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
SECTION 4
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and approval as provided by law.
