Turf Mowing - Bid Award
History
The three (3) year Bid for Turf Mowing was opened on November 1, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the Village Clerk's Office. Two bids were received - Bovic Contracting, Joliet, IL and Mid-America Tree and Landscape, Inc., Mokena, IL. The low bidder was Mid-America Tree and Landscape, Inc.
The work to be performed is for both the Public Works and Parks Department areas. The cost for this work is budgeted in both Public Works and Parks accounts.The cost varies for each of the (3) years (2008,
2009 and 2010) of the contract.
Financial Impact
The money will come from the Park budgeted amount of $300,000 (010-4003-451-4351; Public Works $140,000 (031-6007-433-4351); Metra $6,000 (026-0000-498-4351 and Pool $2,200 (283-4005-451-4351).
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve accepting the Turf Mowing Bid from Mid-America Tree and Landscape, Inc. for a three (3) year contract (2008, 2009 and 2010), in an amount for each budgeted year as stated in the specifications;
And
To approve authorizing the Acting Village Manager to execute the contract.
