Orland Park Wine & Spirits - Final Plan Extension
History
On June 6, 2005 the Village Board approved the Orland Park Wine & Spirits located at 8400 W. 159th Street. The petitioner currently operates Orland Park Wine and Spirits in the Seville Plaza on 159th Street and wants to build a freestanding building on the 27,450 square-foot parcel at the corner of 84th Avenue and 159th Street. On June 5, 2006 the petitioner requested and was granted a one-year extension.
On May 7, 2007 the petitioner requested another one-year extension. Community Honda is the adjoining property owner and had submitted a letter objecting to the extension. The Village Board moved to approve the request from Orland Park Wine & Spirits for extension and grant the extension of time for six months until November 6, 2007.
The petitioner is requesting another one-year extension.
On November 5, 2007 the Village Board moved to refer this item to the next Development Services & Planning Committee meeting on November 26, 2007.
Orland Park Wine and Spirits has petitioned for a revised plan approval and are scheduled for a public hearing before the Plan Commission on November 27, 2007. The revised plan also requests a side yard variance, similar to the variance approved in 2005. However, the revised plan better meets current code, places the parking to the rear, reduces the degree of setback variance, and eliminates the parking variance.
On November 26, 2007 the Development Services & Planning Committee moved 3-0 to recommend to the Village Board to approve the request from Orland Park Wine & Spirits for a six month extension.
This is now before the Village Board for consideration.
