ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING DISPOSAL OF PERSONAL PROPERTY (TELEVISION) OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK, ILLINOIS

WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park is the owner of personal property (27” Admiral Television) that has exhausted its usable life and is obsolete; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, have decided that it is no longer necessary or useful for the Village of Orland Park to retain ownership of said personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities have, therefore, decided that continued ownership of the 27” Admiral Television is not in the best interests of the Village of Orland Park; and
WHEREAS, the Special Recreation Department of the Village of Orland Park would like to donate said personal property to the November 1, 2014 Special Recreation Garage Sale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1
The above recitals are hereby incorporated into this Section as fully as if they were set forth herein in their entirety.
SECTION 2
Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, Illinois Compiled Statutes, 65 ILCS 5/11-76-4, the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park find that the 27” Admiral Television now owned by the Village of Orland Park, Illinois, is no longer necessary or useful to the said Village and its best interests will be served by the disposal of said personal property by the Village Manager.
SECTION 3
Pursuant to the said Section 11-76-4, the Village Manager is hereby authorized to and may direct the disposal of the personal property to which Section 2 of this Ordinance refers by donating said personal property to the November 1, 2014 Special Recreation Garage Sale free of charge.
