AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ASSETS OF THE OPEN LANDS CORPORATION

WHEREAS, in 2007, the Orland Park Open Lands Corporation, a not-for-profit corporation, was incorporated with a purpose to support and promote the maintenance of open lands in the Village of Orland Park; and
WHEREAS, on December 6, 2021, the members of the Board of the Orland Park Open Lands Corporation adopted a corporate resolution to distribute the assets of the Orland Park Open Lands Corporation to the Village of Orland Park; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park have determined that acceptance of the cash assets of the Orland Park Open Lands Corporation is in the best interest of the public and the Village of Orland Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1
The above recitals are incorporated by reference into this Section 1 of this Ordinance as material terms and conditions.
SECTION 2
The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park hereby accept the cash assets of the Orland Park Open Lands Corporation, as provided for by corporate resolution on December 6, 2021.
SECTION 3
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication in pamphlet form as required by law.
