Title

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING LEASE OF COMMONWEALTH EDISON COMPANY PROPERTY FOR AN OPEN GRASSWAY RECREATIONAL AREA SOUTH OF 151^ST STREET AND BOTH EAST AND NORTH OF WHEELER DRIVE

Body

WHEREAS, the Village finds it to be in the best interests of the Village to construct, operate and maintain a ten (10’) foot wide pedestrian/bicycle trail under and along the Commonwealth Edison property located south of 151^st Street and both east and north of Wheeler Drive, as more fully described in the “Recreational Lease” attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part hereof; and

WHEREAS, Commonwealth Edison Company is willing to lease said property to the Village for such purpose for a period commencing November 1, 2011 and ending October 31, 2021, for a one-time rent payment of ONE DOLLAR ($1.00).

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, that the aforesaid “Recreational Lease”, and all the terms and conditions thereof, is hereby approved in the form substantially as that set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof and that the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Recreational Lease on behalf of the Village.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption as provided by law.
