Centennial Park Aquatic Center Bulk CO2 Tank Quote

History

We received a quote for a third CO2 tank in the amount of $9,254.76 from the vendor (MacCarb) that was the successful bidder in 2012 for the CO2 tanks for Centennial Park Aquatic Center. This chemical is used to replace the acid to treat the water at the pool (CO2 works to control the PH at a lower cost than acid). It was determined that with a hot summer a third tank is needed to keep up with the demand.

On January 7, 2013 this item was reviewed and approved by the Recreation & Parks Committee and referred to the Village Board for approval.

Financial Impact

The funds will come from the 2013 Pool Machinery & Equipment line item, 283-4005-460180, $10,000.00 budgeted.

Recommended Action/Motion

I move to approve accepting the quote amount not to exceed $9,254.76 from MacCarb for the 1,000 lbs. CO2 tank.
