Mayor Pekau proclaims November 15, 2021, through November 21, 2021, as National Apprenticeship Week in the Village of Orland Park.
National Apprenticeship Week is celebrating its 7th anniversary of raising awareness of the vital role apprenticeships provide in creating a qualified and highly skilled workforce in diverse industries in Orland Park and across the nation. Apprenticeships are a strong career pathway that provide employees the opportunity to earn a salary while learning the skills necessary to succeed in high-demand careers.
Mayor Pekau and the Village Board of Trustees encourage all residents to join in recognizing the importance of involved workforce development through learn-and-earn programs like apprenticeships to create a more inclusive economy and brighter future.
