Mill Creek Greenway Appraisals
The Orland Park Open Lands Corporation is requesting written real estate appraisals for 13 parcels located generally along Southwest Highway east of LaGrange Road. The parcels constitute a potential greenway connection along Mill Creek between McGinnis Slough and Southmoor Golf Course, including the Open Lands wetland at 135th Street.

The appraisals would provide the information needed to explore various forms of acquisition including donations. This is not a commitment to acquire but is information gathering for decision-making.
The Open Lands Fund would be the source of payment for the appraisals.
Attached is the requested action by the Orland Park Open Lands Corporation.
Mill Creek Greenway Capital Improvement Budget
The Orland Park Open Lands Corporation is requesting that the Village place acquisition of the Mill Creek Greenway parcels in the five-year Capital Improvement Program.
On September 22, 2008 the Development Services and Planning Committee moved to recommend to the Village Board to authorize the Village Manager to obtain the appraisals as described in the Open Lands Fund Commission minutes of September 9, 2008. No motion was made to place the acquisition in the Capital Improvement Program.
This is now before the Village Board for consideration.
