History

The Police Department has budgeted $9,500.00 for the purchase of a new black and white copier for the New Police Department.  This copier would replace the Minolta 6001 which is over 9 years old.

 

Over the past several months the Police Department has tested and received quotes on several copiers.  The police department has determined to Konica-Minolta Bizhub 600 has met the needs for the police department.

 

Konica-Minolta Business Solutions has given the best quote for this machine to include a table top Bizhub 1800 at no additional cost which would be used for our report writing room.

 

The Bizhub 600 is a heavy duty copier to include 60 page per minute, 50 page stapling capability, hole punch, duplex, scan to emial, and network hook up.

 

The Bizhub 800 is a table top copier is an 18 page per minute with print to copier capability.

Financial Impact

The police department has budgeted $9,500.00 in the Fiscal Year 2006/2007 budget under line item 010-7002-421.60-45 for purchase of a new copy machine.

Recommended Action/Motion

I move to approve the purchase of on (1) Konica-Minolta Bizhub 600 to include a Bizhub 800 from Konica-Minolta Business Solutions at a cost not to exceed $9,242.00.
