Title

ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF MUNICIPAL PROPERTY TO KIDS AROUND THE WORLD, INC. (BRENTWOOD PARK PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT)

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois (the “Village”) is an Illinois home rule municipality; and

 

WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village have determined that the playground equipment described in Section 2, below, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village; and

 

WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities have determined to donate the said playground equipment to KIDS AROUND THE WORLD, INC., a charitable corporation providing used playground equipment to disadvantaged countries.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the President and Board of Trustees, Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, in the exercise of the Village’s home rule powers, as follows:

 

SECTION 1

 

The above preambles are hereby incorporated into this Section as fully as if restated in their entirety herein.

 

SECTION 2

 

The donation to KIDS AROUND THE WORLD, INC. of the Brentwood Park playground equipment, which is no longer necessary or useful to the Village, is approved.  Such equipment is described as follows:

 

2-5 year old play structure featuring 2 slides, 2 climbers, 2 transfer platforms, 5-12 year old play structure featuring 4 slides, 5 climbers, 2 monkey bars, 8 transfer platforms, 1 slide rail, swing bank with 3 standard swing belts, 2 tot belts, and 1 ADA swing chair, 3 in ground mount benches, 1 sand digger and 1 spring ride.

 

SECTION 3

 

This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and approval as provided by law.
