Title
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ORLAND PARK VILLAGE CODE, TITLE 5, CHAPTER 5, THE ORLAND PARK FIRE CODE, AND TITLE 5 CHAPTER 2, BUILDING PERMITS AND FEES, REGARDING STORAGE TANKS AND RELATED FEES

Body
WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park has, in Title 5, Chapter 5 of the Village Code adopted the 2006 International Fire Code, with certain modifications, as the Fire Code of the Village; and

WHEREAS, from time to time, the Village makes additional modifications to its adopted Fire Code when the Corporate Authorities find such modifications to be in the best interest of the Village and its residents; and

WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities find that amending the Village Fire Code with regard to removal of above or underground storage tanks is in the best interests of the Village and its residents.

NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, as follows:

SECTION 1

The above preambles are hereby incorporated into this section as fully as if restated herein in their entirety.

SECTION 2

Title 5, Building, Chapter 5, Fire Code, of the Village Code of Orland Park, Section 5-5-2, Amendments, is hereby amended to add the following after Section 3404.2.12.3 and before Section 3406.6.2:

“Section 3404.2.14 Removal and disposal of tanks. Removal and disposal of tanks shall comply with Sections 3404.2.14.1 and 3404.2.14.2 and shall require permit(s) from the Village of Orland Park.”

SECTION 3

Title 5, Building, Chapter 2, Permits and Fees, Section 5-2-7 Building Permit and Inspection Fees is hereby amended to add to item k in Subsection 5-2-7-10, Miscellaneous Fees, the words “or removal” after the word “installation” and the words “Palos or Mokena” after the word “Orland.”

SECTION 4

All other portions of the Orland Park Village Code, Title 5, Building, Chapter 5, Fire Code, shall remain in full force and effect.
