Orland Park Bike Trail - Change Order
History
We have received two (2) Change Orders from Matthew Paving, Inc. as per Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. The first one is because of a collapsed drainage pipe that needs to be repaired. The second is to make sure that the path will never be under water during heavy rains.
Removal of 80 feet of 8 inch RCP due to collapse. Haul from site. 80 feet of new 10 inch RCP including trench bedding and backfill. Total $3650.00.
Install an additional 6 foot catch basin. 72 feet of new 12 inch RCP pipe. Change existing pipe dimension from 6 IN CMP to 12 IN RCP blocks and grates for all flared end sections. Total Extra $11,355.
On December 3, 2007 the Village Board approved $380,687.00 as the original cost of this project.
On April 28, 2008, this item was reviewed and approved by the Recreation Committee and referred to the Board for approval.
Financial Impact
A budget adjustment is needed for this project in the amount of $15,005.00 to Account No. 023-4004-451-7080.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve accepting the Change Order from Matthew Paving, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $15,005.00;
And
I move to approve a budget adjustment in an amount not to exceed $15,005.00.
