140th to 143rd Streets and Clearview Drive - Traffic Calming Devices Approval

Bill Thomson is requesting that traffic calming devices be installed on Clearview Drive from 140th Street to 143rd Street. Mr. Thomson, who lives on the 140th Block of Clearview Drive, states that many people use Clearview Drive as a shortcut to 135th Street and to other subdivisions to the north. He states that many vehicles use excessive speed on Clearview Drive and that as he was recently driving along Clearview Drive, he was passed by a vehicle going well in excess of 30 miles per hour. He also states that on a daily basis, he sees people disobeying the stop sign at 140th and Clearview Drive.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to recommend to the Board to approve the installation of traffic calming devices on Clearview Drive from 140th to 143rd Streets.
