History
American English is a popular local group that always draws a record crowd at their performances. The village would like to hire them to headline the entertainment at Taste of Orland Park 2008 on Saturday, August 2 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Cost of the performance is $5,000.00. Normally the cost for a Saturday evening performance is $5,500. American English is giving us a $500 discount because of the rainout at the 2007 Taste of Orland Park.
A sponsor will be secured to cover the cost for American English to perform.
ON DECEMBER 10, 2007 THE COMMUNITY EVENTS AND OUTREACH COMMITTEE VOTED UNANIMOUSLY TO APPROVE THIS EXPENDITURE.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve payment to American English in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00;
And
I move to approve a deposit of $2,500.00 to be paid upon approval of contract and balance to be paid at the Taste of Orland Park 2008.
