AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 9, CHAPTER 9, SECTION 7 OF THE ORLAND PARK VILLAGE CODE BY RESTRICTING PARKING DURING CERTAIN TIMES FOR LUNAR, KENNEDY, FRANKLIN, LINCOLN AND ORLAND COURTS

WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park (the “Village”) have the authority to adopt ordinances and promulgate rules and regulations that pertain to its government and affairs and to protect the public health, safety and welfare of its citizens; and
WHEREAS, to facilitate garbage and trash collections along Lunar, Kennedy, Franklin, Lincoln and Orland Courts in the Village, it is necessary to add certain parking restrictions to Section 9-9-7 (PARKING DURING CERTAIN TIMES) of the Village Code as hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1
The above recitals are incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2
Title 9, Chapter 9, Section 7 (PARKING RESTRICTED DURING CERTAIN TIMES), is hereby amended to add subsection 15 as follows:
“15. No person shall stop or park a vehicle between the hours of seven o’clock (7:00) A.M. and ten o’clock (10:00) A.M. on Thursdays and the days other than Thursdays scheduled for garbage and trash collection following a legal holiday at the following locations:
a) On the north side of Lunar Court and Kennedy Court; and
b) On the south side of Franklin Court, Lincoln Court and Orland Court.”
SECTION 3
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
