A RESOLUTION REGARDING SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM LOCAL FUNDING FOR THE NEW 167TH STREET MULTI-USE PATH PROJECT

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park, located in the County of Cook, State of Illinois, is a member of the Southwest Conference of Mayors; and

 

WHEREAS, the Southwest Conference of Mayors requires a "local match" resolution of all project sponsors according to its Surface Transportation Program Local (STP-L) Implementation Policy; and

 

WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park’s NEW 167th STREET MULTI-USE PATH will be considered by the Southwest Conference of Mayors for STP-L funding; and

 

WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park is capable, willing and able to fund the required local match (20% of the Phase II and III Engineering and Construction costs associated with the new multi-use path project work) during the programmed year(s).

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:

 

That the Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook County, Illinois does hereby authorize the expenditure of funds from the Village of Orland Park’s local funds for the New 167th Street Multi-Use Path project to be funded through the Southwest Conference of Mayors Surface Transportation Program Local.
