Turkey Trot 2012 T-Shirt Purchase
History
In preparation for the 2012 Turkey Trot, staff has received quotes from three vendors for the long sleeve race T-shirts. After review of the quotes, staff recommends the purchase be made through Kee Line Images, who provided the lowest quote for the shirts at a total cost of $5,583.21.
The quotes are as follows:
Kee Line Images: $5,853.21
Halo: $6,708.10
Same Day Tees: $7,662.00
This agenda item is being considered by the Parks & Recreation Committee and the Village Board of Trustees meeting on the same night. Village Board approval will be contingent upon receiving an approval recommendation at the Parks & Recreation Committee meeting.
Financial Impact
There is $4,550 budgeted in account 283-4002-490410 for race shirts. Race participation is anticipated to sell out at 725 participants, an increase of 25 from 2011. In addition, all 25 T-shirt sponsorship opportunities have been sold at a minimum value of $100 each. The increase in participants, 25 @ $21 each, $525; as well as the support of T-shirt sponsors at $2,600, will cover the additional cost of this expense.
