Metra Parking Lots Number 1 and 2 (Southwest Highway) - Board Approval
History
With the completion of the grading and individual parcels within the Main Street Triangle, the striping and numbering of the required six hundred (600) Metra spaces and the regrading of Crescent Park, the project with Related Midwest will be closed out. This project will be slightly under budget and it is requested that the Board of Trustees approve using those funds to begin the landscaping of the Metra lots along Southwest Highway.
Proposals (RFPs) were received from two landscapers for this work - Twin Oaks Landscaping of Oswego, Illinois, submitted a proposal for $57,456 and Mid-America Landscaping of Mokena, Illinois, submitted a proposal for $61,701. It is recommended that the lower proposal from Twin Oaks Landscaping be accepted. Twin Oaks Landscaping is the company that completed the work in the Main Street Triangle.
Financial Impact
Funds from the Main Street Triangle Project are available for this project.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve waiving the bid process;
And
To approve accepting the proposal from Twin Oaks Landscaping Co. of Oswego, Illinois, to begin the landscaping of the Metra lots along Southwest Highway for an amount not to exceed $57,456;
And
To approve authorizing the Village Manager to execute the contract.
