ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF MUNICIPAL PROPERTY TO KIDS AROUND THE WORLD, INC. (SUNNY PINE AND KEVIN HERTZ PARKS PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT)

WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois (the “Village”) is an Illinois home rule municipality; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village have determined that the playground equipment described in Section 2, below, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities have determined to donate the said playground equipment to KIDS AROUND THE WORLD, INC., a charitable corporation providing used playground equipment to disadvantaged countries.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the President and Board of Trustees, Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, in the exercise of the Village’s home rule powers, as follows:
SECTION 1
The above preambles are hereby incorporated into this Section as fully as if restated in their entirety herein.
SECTION 2
The donation to KIDS AROUND THE WORLD, INC. of the playground equipment identified and described on EXHIBITS A, B and C attached hereto which is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Orland Park is hereby approved.
SECTION 3
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and approval as provided by law.
