ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF MUNICIPAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK, ILLINOIS, AS SCRAP

WHEREAS; a simple majority of the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Orland Park have determined it is no longer necessary, useful, or in the best interest for the Village of Orland Park to retain ownership of the personal property described in Section 2 below; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities have determined to destroy as scrap the said items;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, in the exercise of the Village’s home rule powers, as follows:
SECTION 1
The Preamble is adopted as fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2
Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code (Illinois Compiled Statutes, 65 ILCS 5/11-76-4). The President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park find that the following items of personal property now owned by the Village of Orland Park, are no longer necessary or useful to the said Village, and its best interests will be served by the disposal of the following personal property:
One (1) wooden desk with Property Tag 02351
One (1) Formica desk with Property Tag 01854
Two (2) wooden desks without property tags
SECTION 3
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and approval as provided by law.
