History
As you know, the Village employs both William Filan and Smith Dawson and Andrews to provide intergovernmental affairs assistance at the state and federal levels respectively. The agreement with William Filan is for $3,000 per month. The agreement with Smith Dawson and Andrews is for $5,000 per month which may vary based on level of service. Somehow only half of each amount was budgeted in the 08 budget, therefore a budget adjustment is necessary.
Financial Impact
A Budget amendment adding $38,000 to account 010.1500.411.32-85 is necessary.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to authorize the Acting Village Manager to execute an agreement with Smith Dawson and Andrews of Washington D.C. and William Filan of Chicago, IL to provide intergovernmental affairs services.
And
I move to approve a budget adjustment in the amount of $38,000 to cover associated fees.
