Wolf Road (143rd Street to 167th Street) - Board Approval
History
On July 8, 2005, the Village Board of Trustees approved awarding a contract for Phase I professional engineering services for Wolf Road from 143rd Street to 167th Street to URS Corporation of Chicago, Illinois. As a result of subsequent meetings URS has had with IDOT and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), they are being requested to provide an Environmental Class of Action Determination (ECAD), a Noise Analysis Study and Location Drainage Study (LDS) as part of the Phase I engineering. These additions are required because the project is on a state road and we are proposing the addition of lanes of traffic to accommodate added capacity on the road.
On March 9, 2009, this item was reviewed and approved by the Public Works and Engineering Committee and referred to the Board for approval.
Financial Impact
URS has tendered a proposal of $155,173.21 for this work which can be funded under Board approved line item 053-0000-431.32-50.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve accepting the proposal from URS Corporation of Chicago, Illinois, for professional engineering services for Wolf Road from 143rd Street to 167th Street for an amount not to exceed $155,173.21;
And
Approve authorizing the Village Manager to execute the addendum to the contract.
