RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSAL FROM DLZ, INC. (TRAFFIC SIGNAL INTERCONNECTION - 143RD STREET BETWEEN WOLF ROAD AND RAVINIA AVE.)

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, the Village’s Transportation Plan has identified the need to interconnect the traffic signals along 143rd Street between Wolf Road and Ravinia Avenue to integrate the signals into the IDOT traffic signal System (the “Project”); and

 

WHEREAS, the Southwest Conference of Mayors has approved this Project for federal Surface Transportation Program funding under which eighty percent (80%) of the Project construction observation engineering cost, will be reimbursed to the Village from federal funds and twenty percent (20%) of said costs will be paid from Village funds; and

 

WHEREAS, DLZ, INC. has submitted a proposal for Phase III construction observation engineering services for the Project of not to exceed FIFTY-SIX THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED NINETEEN AND 0/100 DOLLARS ($56,719.00); and

 

WHEREAS, the Village will be reimbursed in the amount of up to $45,375.20 from federal funds available through the Surface Transportation Program, and the Village has available sufficient funds of up to $11,343.80 for the Village’s portion of the said Phase III construction observation engineering costs.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, that the proposal of DLZ, INC or Phase III construction observation engineering services for the traffic signal interconnection along 143rd Street between Wolf Road and Ravinia Avenue to integrate the signals with the IDOT traffic signal system in the Village for an amount not to exceed $56,719 be accepted.
