AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 7, CHAPTER 4, SECTION 15 OF THE ORLAND PARK MUNICIPAL CODE, REGARDING HOURS OF PACKAGE SALES OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR AT CLASS B AND D LICENSED PREMISES IN THE VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK, COOK AND WILL COUNTIES, ILLINOIS

WHEREAS, the Village of Orland Park has established the hour of 11 AM as the earliest hour on Sundays that packaged liquors may be sold by holders of Class B and D liquor licenses; and
WHEREAS, the Village desires to change the earliest Sunday sale time to 9 AM, effective November 15, 2008.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, an Illinois home rule municipality, as follows:
SECTION 1
The Orland Park Municipal Code, Title 7, Business and License, Chapter 4, Retail Liquor Establishments, Section 7-4-15, Opening and Closing Hours, is hereby amended to change the second paragraph (referring to Class B and D license holders) so the Sunday hours clause reads “…before nine o’clock (9:00) A.M. and after eleven o’clock (11:00) P.M. on Sundays.”
SECTION 2
This Ordinance shall take effect on November 15, 2008, following its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
