Title

156th Street Extension - LaGrange Road to Ravinia Avenue - Contract Amendment

History

The Village engaged Smith Engineering Consultants Inc. (SEC) of New Lenox, Illinois, to provide professional engineering services for the extension of 156th Street.  As a result of meeting with IDOT Engineers in February 2006, additional engineering services for a Traffic Impact Study (TIS) and an Intersection Design Study (IDS) were completed to provide for the design of permanent traffic signals.  SEC has submitted an addendum for additional services for the completion of the permanent traffic signal design in the amount of $12,440.

Financial Impact

This item will need a budget adjustment in the amount of $12,440 to Line Item #054-0000-499.71-25.

Recommended Action/Motion

I move to recommend to the Board of Trustees to approve a budget adjustment in the amount of $12,440;

And

Recommend to the Board of Trustees to approve an increase of $12,440 to the Smith Engineering Consultants, Inc. of New Lenox, Illinois, contract for additional engineering services for the extension of 156th Street from LaGrange Road to Ravinia Avenue;

And

Recommend to the Board of Trustees to approve authorizing the Village Manager to execute the addendum.
