Title/Name/Summary

RESOLUTION TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE ILLINOIS TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM FOR PROPOSED MULTI-PURPOSE PATHS ON 159TH STREET, 108TH AVENUE AND 104TH AVENUE

Body

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Park, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, as follows:

SECTION 1

The Village Board authorizes the Village Manager, or his designee, to submit a grant proposal to the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) for multi-purpose paths on 159th Street (between Ravinia Avenue and 80th Avenue), 108th Avenue (between 153rd Street and Jillian Road) and 104th Avenue (between 159th Street and 163rd Street).  The total estimated cost for each project is $4,143,850 for the 159th Street path, $292,215 for the 108th Avenue path, and $2,265,645 for the 104th Avenue path per the applications prepared by the Village’s engineering consultant, Christopher B. Burke Engineering Ltd.  Said proposed paths are not being approved for funding at this time and would be constructed upon the receipt of grant funding assistance.  The local cost share for a project would be budgeted upon award.

SECTION 2

This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
