Orland Park Bike Trail - Change Order
History
The Village received a Change Order from Hitchcock Design Group for the Orland Park Bike Trail at a cost of $6,000.00 and $1,000.00 reimbursable expenses. Discussions with the Village's Superintendent of Water, John Ingram, determined a portion of the bike trail crosses over an overland flow path located to the west of 88th Avenue. In order to modify the current trail design to accommodate the storm water flow, the Village must first perform a storm water analysis to determine the amount of storm water being conveyed through the overland flow path and wetland. Once the storm water analysis is complete The Village will make adjustments to the trail design and provide updated plans to the general contractor for pricing.
Financial Impact
This money will come from the Park Fund ( 023-4004-451-7080) 2007 budget, $141,073.00 remaining for the Center School Project that will not be completed this year.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to recommend to the Board to approve accepting the revised quote from Hitchcock Design Group for a cost of $7,000.00;
And
To recommend to the Board to approve authorizing the Acting Village Manager to execute the contract.
