History
The 2016 Taste of Orland Park enjoyed its largest attendance to date. A key component to attracting large crowds is the head-line bands performing each night. Bands in our price range which attract large crowds are in high demand and in short supply, often booking up a year or more in advance. 7th Heaven is a popular local group that was a big draw for the 2015 and 2016 Taste of Orland Park as the Saturday headline act from 8:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Therefore, staff recommends entering into a contract with 7th Heaven to perform at the 2017 Taste of Orland Park from 8:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at a cost of $6,000.
On November 21, 2016, this item was reviewed and approved by the Parks and Recreation Committee, recommended for approval and referred to the Village Board of Trustees for consideration.
Financial Impact
Funds for this expenditure are in the 2017 budget.

I move to approve the contract for the group, 7th Heaven, in the amount of $6,000 to provide entertainment at the Taste of Orland Park on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 8:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
