Strategic Plan (2019 thru 2021) - Adoption
History
On May 29, 2018, and June 11, 2018, the Village Board participated in a Village wide strategic plan workshops facilitated by Dr. Greg Kuhn, Assistant Director of NIU Center for Governmental Studies. After the workshop, Dr. Kuhn and his team at NIU collected information, met with stakeholders, staff and prepared the draft plan recently distributed to the Village Board for review.
The Strategic Plan highlights issues identified by the Board, stakeholders in the community and staff throughout the Village, and will be the basses to develop strategies to address a wide range of issues to help guide the Village in the upcoming years.
The intent of the plan is for it to be used as a guiding document for the organization. It will serve as an appendix for staff’s action plan and be used to develop performance measures to report back to the Village Board periodically on progress of achieving established goals. After formal approval strategic plan, each department will work with Dr. Kuhn and his team to formulate performance objectives to advance each initiative.
This item is going straight to Board for consideration and acceptance.
I move to approve formally adopting the Strategic Plan 2019-2021 as presented.
