151st Street Lift Station Landscaping - Proposal
History
The Utility Division recently completed a major upgrade to the 151st Street Lift Station adjacent to the Village-owned pond by Orland Square. To complete the work, a landscape plan was drafted in-house by Kim Hofkens of Development Services. Staff requested and received proposals to perform this work from Mid America Tree and Landscape, Inc. of Mokena, Illinois, in the amount of $8,059 and Groundskeeper Landscape Care, LLC of Orland Park, Illinois, for $9,700.
At 6:00 p.m. on June 18, 2007, this item was reviewed by the Public Works and Engineering Committee.
Financial Impact
Funds totaling $15,000 have been allocated in Account #031-6003-433.43-50 for this project.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve accepting the proposal from Mid America Tree & Landscape, Inc. of Mokena, Illinois, for landscaping at the 151st Street Lift Station in an amount not to exceed $8,059.
And
Approve authorizing the Village Manager to execute the proposal/contract.
