145th Place and Beacon Avenue-Stop Sign Request
History
A request for the installation of a stop sign on the corner of 145th Place and Beacon Avenue was made by Liz and Ralph Credio. Liz and Ralph said they have to walk in the street because there are no sidewalks, and have been forced off the street numerous times because drivers cannot see pedestrians due to the corner having a blind spot. Vehicles can be heard excelling from the corner of 145th Street, and they know of at least four collisions at that corner in the last 5 years. They feel a stop sign would force vehicles to slow down.
At the August 5, 2010 meeting it was decided to study this matter further and discuss it at the October 7, 2010 meeting.
