Replacement of Chemical Controllers at Centennial Pool

History

Over the weekend (June 5^th) there was a lightning strike at Centennial Park, which burned out two ORD chemical controllers monitoring and controlling pH for Centennial Pool. Also, the lightning prediction system and a small refrigerator at Centennial Pool were hit.

I have received a quote from Aqua Pure for the chemical controllers at a cost of $5,629.71 including installation.

On June 21, 2010, this item was reviewed and approved by the Recreation, Parks and Environmental Initiatives Committee and referred to the Board for approval.

Financial Impact

The funds will come from the insurance fund.

Recommended Action/Motion

I move to approve accepting the proposal from Aqua Pure at a cost not to exceed $5,629.71 for the two chemical controllers.
