Centennial Pool Chemicals State - Bid Award
History
Illinois Parks and Recreation Association has a statewide bidding program that we participate in every year for the liquid bulk chlorine used at Centennial Pool. This year the vender that was chosen is Basic Chemical Solutions. We have used them for the past 8 years and have had nothing but great service. Chlorine is priced at $2.26 Gallon, (this is a reduction from last year $2.32) and Hydrochloric Acid is $3.99 gallon.
On March 22, 2010, this item was reviewed and approved by the Recreation & Parks Committee and referred to the Board for approval.
Financial Impact
The funds will come from the Pool budget 033-4005-451.6250/ $39,700.00.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve accepting the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association state bid vendor Basic Chemical Solutions for liquid bulk chlorine and hydrochloric acid at a cost not to exceed $39,700.00.
