Quail Hollow Drive Watermain Repair - Board Approval
History
On October 12, 2007, a watermain break was discovered within the densely wooded area of Tinley Creek behind 15121 Quail Hollow Drive. A resident noticed the unusual flow of water and notified Public Works. Due to the extremely limited space to access the area and difficult working conditions within the Creek, Airy’s, Inc. of Tinley Park, Illinois, was contacted to complete the repair. The work was completed on Saturday, October 13, 2007, for a total cost of $6,246.65. A contract is in place between the Village and Airy’s, Inc. to perform this type of work on an emergency basis.
Financial Impact
Sufficient funds are available within Line Item #031-6002- 433.43-80 (Water System Repair and Service) to cover the cost of this job.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve payment to Airy’s, Inc. of Tinley Park, Illinois, for the October 13, 2007, emergency watermain repair at 15121 Quail Hollow Drive in an amount not to exceed $6,246.65.
