Class System Upgrade
History
The MIS Department has included funds in the FY 2008-09 budget to upgrade the Class System; the computer software used by the Village's Recreation and Parks Department. Over 50 staff members use this system to manage the department's programs and facilities at four village facilities. This upgrade is needed to add enhancements to existing software and correct imperfections required prior to implementing internet registration and gift card capabilities.
A price quote was obtained from Active Network, (parent company to Class Software Solutions), which includes:
Class Upgrades Training - $2,400.00
Class/Payment Server Upgrade - $2,800.00
Onsite Service Fee - $2,500
An estimated $1,000 needs to be added for travel expenses for Consultant/Trainer.
Financial Impact
The amount budgeted for this computer software upgrade is $8,700.00.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve the Class System Upgrade and purchase the necessary components and services from Active Network at a cost not to exceed $8,700.00.
