History
In 2021 and 2022, the Village contracted with Rech Entertainment to provide consulting, talent buying, reider/contract advance and back of house services including security, artist hospitality, stage hands, backline preparations and all artist related logistics for the Centennial Park West Concert Series. The services provided by Rech, enabled Village staff to focus on front of house productions including the entry gate, ticket sales, crowd control, sponsor and vendor logistics, beer and wine sales.
In 2024, staff will divide artist talent buying, rider and contract advance services, from day-of-show production services as a means of exploring cost effective options by issuing an RFP for day-of-show services.
Rech Entertainment possess the experience, and established contacts to effectively negotiate with Artists and agents on behalf of the Village for the Centennial Park West Concert Series and Taste of Orland Park headliners, and potential tour packages. Tour packages include Artist which are on tour together, and are purchased as a package.
Village staff will negotiate with other talent agencies to fill open, non-prime time slots not secured by Rech.
Staff seek to enter into an agreement with Rech Entertainment to provide services as outlined in the attached proposal. This will include: Artist buying, contract, rider, hotel, hospitality and ground transportation advance services at a cost of 10% of the artist performance fees for Artist secured by Rech Entertainment.
Financial Impact
Funds are budgeted in account 1009220-442450 for the Centennial Park West Concert Series and in 1009230-442450 for the Taste of Orland Park.
