PROJECT DESCRIPTION & CONTEXT
The petitioner is proposing to remove the existing playground equipment and install new playground equipment. The site is currently being used as a school, and the playground area is in the center of the parcel behind the school building.
Overall, the project conforms to the Village’s Comprehensive Plan, Land Development Code and policies for this area.

There are no changes to the parking lot for this appearance review.

Play Area
The existing bench and picnic table will be removed and replaced with new similar materials. In addition, the existing play apparatus, independent play components, climbers, and slides will be removed and replaced along with the existing footings and mulch. Likewise, the poured in place rubber element will be removed and replaced in the same location. The tuff timber element that enclosures the playground and mulch will be removed temporarily but reinstalled once play apparatus and mulch elements have been installed.
