History
A resident contacted the Village pertaining to safety concerns due to the lack of a right-turn only sign when traveling westbound on 151st Street onto Ravinia Avenue. Although there is not a right-turn only sign at this location, there is roadway stripping indicating the mandatory turn. According to the resident, this mandatory turning lane causes confusion and sudden lane changes by unaware drivers. The turning lane is not needed.
The resident is requesting the removal of the right-turn only roadway stripping at the southeast corner of the 151st Street and Ravinia Avenue intersection. This will allow a continuation of two lanes until the requirement of merging into one lane west of Ravinia Avenue.
