Title
Special Event Permit for Zeigler Nissan of Orland Park - Ribbon Cutting (>250 people)
History
At the December 6, 2021, Board meeting, the Village Board approved an ordinance amending the Special Events Permit authorizing the Village Manager to approve events under 100 persons and requires Village Board approval for larger events. Special events held on Village grounds are processed through Recreation and Parks, while events held not on Village grounds are processed through Development Services.
Zeigler Nissan has submitted a Special Event permit request to host an indoor ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening for their newly remodeled space. The event will include food/food truck, live music and alcoholic beverages. The event will be at the dealership located at 8550 W. 159th Street and will take place May 28, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. An estimated 250 attendees are expected to attend.
Financial Impact
The organizer will be subject to all applicable permits, staffing, and rental fees.
Recommended Action/Motion
I move to approve permitting Zeigler Nissan of Orland Park to host an indoor ribbon cutting event on May 28, 2024 contingent upon meeting all of the Village's permitting requirements, payment of fees, and inspections.
